To Whom It May Concern,
I think that the book Speak should not be banned for many reasons. Mr. Scroggins says that it should be banned because it has “soft pornography.” I think that this book should not be banned because I think that it teaches kids life lessons and because it is a very good book. I don’t think that this should be called SOFT pornography, I think that this should be called NO pornography.
This book also helps kids know that if one of your friends are raped you would know what to do, you have been with Malinda and you know what it does to a person. So you wouldn’t just be like “oh its not that bad you’ll get over it.” If you have been raped, SPEAK up people will get you help and it will also help you live your life easier and happier.
